Ventus Pegasus Ultra Bee Battery 96V 56Ah – 75kW Performance Battery
Ventus Pegasus Ultra Bee Battery 96V 56Ah – 75kW Performance Battery
Power Your Ultra Bee Without Compromise
The Ventus Pegasus Ultra Bee Battery is a 96V 56Ah high-voltage performance battery developed for serious Surron Ultra Bee builds. With 5.25kWh of energy capacity, very high discharge capability and a stock-height fitment, the Pegasus is designed to support high-performance controller and motor upgrades without requiring a taller battery lid.
This is more than a range upgrade. The Pegasus moves the Ultra Bee onto a 96V battery platform capable of supporting substantially higher power than the factory battery, making it suitable for advanced performance builds where the stock battery would otherwise become a limiting component.
96V High-Voltage Platform
A 26S high-voltage battery system designed for performance Ultra Bee builds requiring significantly greater voltage and power capability than the factory battery.
Up to 75kW Peak Capability
The 800A short-duration maximum discharge capability allows the Pegasus to support extreme powertrain configurations when paired with suitable controller, motor and electrical components.
5.25kWh Capacity
5,251Wh of nominal stored energy provides substantially more capacity for riding range as well as high-output performance.
800A Max Discharge
Rated at 280A discharge with up to 800A available for 10 seconds, supporting hard acceleration and demanding high-load riding.
High-Voltage Converter Included
Supplied with a compatible high-voltage DC-to-DC converter to replace the Ultra Bee's original converter and retain the bike's 12V electrical systems.
Fits Under the Stock Lid
Designed to retain the original Ultra Bee battery lid height rather than requiring a raised battery cover.
Designed for Serious Ultra Bee Builds
A high-performance controller and motor can only deliver their full potential when the battery is capable of safely supplying the required voltage and current. Once an Ultra Bee is significantly modified, the factory battery can become one of the major limiting components in the powertrain.
The Pegasus provides a 96V platform, increased energy capacity and considerably greater discharge capability for riders building a high-performance Ultra Bee.
High power without raising the battery position
Despite its increased voltage and capacity, the Pegasus is designed to fit beneath the original Ultra Bee battery lid. This helps avoid unnecessarily raising battery height and changing the bike's centre of gravity.

What's Included
Important – This is not a plug-in replacement for the stock battery
The Pegasus operates at 96V and requires a controller capable of safely operating with a 96V battery system. The factory Surron Ultra Bee controller is not suitable for this battery.
The Ultra Bee's original DC-to-DC converter must also be disconnected or removed because the factory converter is not designed for the Pegasus high-voltage system.
A compatible high-voltage DC-to-DC converter is supplied with the Pegasus battery and is installed in place of the original converter to retain the bike's lighting, horn, T-Box and other 12V electrical functions.

| Factory DC-to-DC converter | Must be disconnected / replaced |
| Replacement DC-to-DC converter | Included with Pegasus battery |
| Original lighting, horn and T-Box | Retained using supplied converter |
Controller Compatibility
A 96V-capable aftermarket controller is required. Controller voltage capability must be confirmed before connecting the Pegasus battery.

|---|---|
| Ventus AETOS Max GEN2 | 96V capable |
| Ventus AETOS Pro GEN2 | Not rated for 96V |
| Factory Ultra Bee controller | Not compatible |
| Other aftermarket controllers | Must be specifically rated for 96V operation |
Motor Compatibility
The Pegasus battery can supply substantially more power than the factory Ultra Bee battery, but the battery itself does not determine the power that will be delivered to the motor.
Actual output is determined by the controller tune, controller limits, motor capability and the complete electrical configuration of the bike. Stock and aftermarket motors should only be operated within appropriate thermal and power limits.
75kW battery capability does not mean a 75kW bike
The Pegasus is capable of supporting extremely high peak output, but the controller, motor, wiring, connectors, gearing and tune all determine what power level is appropriate for a particular Ultra Bee build.
Range
With 5.25kWh of stored energy, the Pegasus has considerably more energy capacity than the factory Ultra Bee battery and can provide increased range when used at comparable power levels.
However, a high-performance 96V build can also consume energy much faster. Riders using aggressive controller tunes and high power settings may use the additional battery capacity for performance rather than increased riding distance.
Actual range varies significantly with speed, power settings, terrain, rider weight, gearing, temperature, tyre pressure and riding style.
Charging
The Pegasus is supplied with a dedicated battery charger designed for the high-voltage battery system.
The battery platform is capable of high-rate charging, but supported charging current and actual charging time depend on the charger being used. Only a charger specifically approved for the Pegasus battery should be connected.
Fuse and Electrical Protection
Current Pegasus installation information from Ventus dealers does not specify an upgraded Ultra Bee fuse as a standard requirement when installing the battery.
Fuse ratings should not be increased unless specifically required by the battery, controller or installation instructions. The correct fuse rating forms part of the bike's electrical protection and should remain matched to the relevant circuit.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the main advantage of the Pegasus battery?
It combines a 96V platform, 56Ah capacity, 5.25kWh of stored energy and very high discharge capability in a battery designed to fit under the Ultra Bee's original battery lid. It is intended for riders building a significantly higher-performance Ultra Bee.
Will this battery make my Ultra Bee produce 75kW?
No. The Pegasus can support very high peak power, but the actual bike output is determined by the controller, motor, tune, wiring, connectors, gearing and operating conditions.
Can I use the Pegasus with the stock Ultra Bee controller?
No. The Pegasus is a 96V battery and requires a controller rated for operation with a 96V battery system.
Can I use it with an AETOS Pro controller?
No. The Ventus AETOS Pro is not rated for the 96V Pegasus battery. A 96V-capable controller such as the appropriate AETOS Max or AETOS Ultra configuration is required.
Does it fit under the original Ultra Bee battery lid?
Yes. The Pegasus is designed to retain the original Ultra Bee battery lid height.
Does the original Ultra Bee DC-to-DC converter stay in the bike?
No. The original converter is not designed for the 96V Pegasus system and must be disconnected or removed. A compatible high-voltage DC-to-DC converter is supplied with the Pegasus battery to retain the bike's 12V electrical systems.
Is the replacement DC-to-DC converter included?
Yes. Shock Moto's Pegasus battery package includes the compatible high-voltage DC-to-DC converter required for the Ultra Bee's 12V lighting, horn, T-Box and related electrical systems.
Does the Ultra Bee fuse need to be upgraded?
Current Pegasus installation information does not specify a fuse upgrade as a standard part of the battery installation. Fuse ratings should not be increased unless specifically required by the applicable battery, controller or installation instructions.
Will the Pegasus give me more range?
Potentially, yes. The 5.25kWh battery provides substantial stored energy. However, riders using higher controller settings and more power can consume that additional energy significantly faster, so real-world range depends heavily on how the bike is tuned and ridden.
Can I use the original Ultra Bee charger?
No. The original Ultra Bee charger is not suitable for the 96V Pegasus battery. The Pegasus must only be charged using a compatible charger designed for its high-voltage battery system.
Can Shock Moto install and configure the Pegasus?
Yes. Shock Moto can assist with the complete Ultra Bee powertrain setup including battery, compatible controller, DC-to-DC converter, motor configuration and controller tuning.
Building a high-performance Ultra Bee?
The Pegasus is designed as part of a complete high-voltage powertrain, rather than as a standalone stock battery replacement. Shock Moto can help match the battery with the correct controller, motor and supporting electrical components for your build.
